Ureteral Injury / Stricture
Ureter can be injured during rectum and uterus surgery or when stone is passed out from kidney. A ureteric stricture is the narrowing of a segment of the ureter that is usually made of scar tissue after the injury.
- Noticed by surgeon during surgery
- Pain at back and side
Ultrasound and CT scan are commonly performed.

- Ureteric stricture is excised and sutured back to bladder.

- Ureteric stricture is excised, ureter reconnected back by suturing.
